Can you believe it’s October already? I know everyone says this but this year really has whizzed by.
Autumn is the start of my favourite time of the year. I just love everything we have coming up and planned.
I thought I would share with you some things we will be doing this month around Lincolnshire.
This is the thing I am SO excited about. Bells nursery outlet in Boston do the best pumpkin picking ever. We went last year and it’s was so amazing. They have loads of activities on for kids from paint your own pumpkin to a bouncy castle. They had a pumpkin cannon which is loads of fun and of course they had thousands and thousands of pumpkins. It’s free entry and a fun day out. This opens on October 14th and I think we will be heading there more than once.
Using or National Trust passes we intend to visit Belton house for their Autumn Fayre on October 14th. You can read all about it here but it really looks lovely and hopefully the weather will be dry enough for E to burn her energy on the huge playground.
Tattershall farm park
Our local and much loved farm park is open all year round and is actually my favourite place to visit in the colder months. On a dry day and wrapped up well there is still so much fun to have and if it’s rains, there’s always the soft play. During half term week they have a theatre company visiting to perform ‘Room on the Broom’ which we will absolutely be attending.
Another garden centre, another fun day out! Woodthorpe is always fun but they’ve just opened up their Christmas area which I am dying to get into. I buy one or two special decorations for our tree every year and always pick them up in October so I’m looking forward to having a peek at what they have. We often visit here as they have a huge maze, a dinosaur display, trampolines and an ace park all for free so it makes a fun day out for all the family. Except hubs, he hates it. He doesn’t get the joy of a good garden centre.
Of course we will be doing lots more but these are just the bits we have in the diary and I thought was worth a share.
Are you doing anything lovely this October?
