Eagle Mill – Country Boutique Rooms

Hello you!

Last week I turned 30 and my lovely husband surprised my face off with so many wonderful things. One of those things was a toddler free night away in a Boutique B&B called Eagle Mill in Huntingdon which is about an hour away from where we live.

Let me tell you. IT WAS AMAZING. AMAZING. I just have to write about it.

Because I didn’t know I was going to blog about it, I didn’t take many photos because I just wanted to enjoy it, I’ll share with you what I did snap though.

Eagle Mill Has four gorgeous boutique rooms and they are so wonderfully special.

I don’t even know where to begin, I want to word vomit at you about its wonder. Every little detail has been considered to make it extra special. There is a full sky tv package, a coffee pod machine with plenty of pods and lots of tea from Joe’s Tea company and bottled water. The bed was divine, the comfiest bed we’ve snoozed in. The toiletries are from The White Co and by the massive bath there’s a huge pot of White Co bath salts. Underfloor heating, robes and super fluffy towels add to the amazing.

The very best thing about Eagle Mill for us was the very warm welcome we received. We rocked up, tired from a day in London at Harry Potter Studio tours and shopping in Cambridge. I had grease down my top after a meal time disaster and we just looked, not our best. If he thought we looked like wild tramps, Sam, the owner didn’t let on.

I don’t want to sound Braggy but we’ve stayed at a fair few places including The Old Course in St Andrews and we’ve never had a welcome so warm. It really adds to the appeal. The right amount of kind without being intrusive.

The breakfast at Eagle Mill was INCREDIBLE. In the breakfast room we were told to help ourselves to fruit, Yoghurt, cereal, fresh juice and water. Meanwhile Sam made us fresh tea and coffee. Our breakfast was cooked to order. I don’t usually eat a cooked breakfast but having scanned social media I gathered that if I was staying at Eagle Mill, I was going to have too. I’m so glad I did. I also tried Soda bread for the first time and it won’t be last. The eggs were poached to perfection.

I really could write and write and write about Eagle Mill and we were there for less than 24 hours. It was just luxury and honestly, puts everywhere else we’ve ever stayed to shame. I can absolutely say, we will be back.

If you are ever looking for somewhere special to stay in that area, stay at Eagle Mill, you won’t be disappointed.

A x

Ps. This isn’t one of those sponsored posts, Eagle Mill was booked and paid for by my husband and they have no idea I’m writing this. If you are reading this, Sam and Sonya, thank you so much for an amazingly blissful escape. If I could move in, I would!
